If you have a good idea for an activity that brings people together, let us help you bring it to life!
What you need to provide:
- Your idea and enthusiasm as a volunteer
- Materials or supplies if needed (e.g. painting supplies, exercise mats etc)
- A commitment to running your idea/group/workshop/program for our community to agreed timeframes and days
- Documentation including police clearance as part of Southcare’s volunteer onboarding program
Southcare will provide:
- Function spaces (choose from 8 areas) with chairs, tables, Wi-Fi, AV equipment and parking free of charge
- Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits for you and your guests
- Marketing and promotion of your event free of charge on Southcare channels as well as local community channels
- Full induction as a volunteer with benefits including celebrations during National Volunteer Week and end of year Southcare gatherings
- A safe environment and supportive culture with opportunities for additional social and professional connection.

Venues you can use to bring your idea to life
Southcare has a number of spaces for you to use from small intimate areas to large open spaces. Our John Hardwick Centre (19 Pether Road, Manning) and Helen Moore Centre (52 Bickley Crescent, Manning) can be used individually or together, with multiple spaces in each area to suit the needs of your group. You have full use of the kitchen and crockery/cutlery, AV equipment, tables, chairs, accessible toilets in a safe and central location with free parking on your doorstep.
